I was asked by the talented KlairedelysArt on YouTube to take part in a large collaboration inspired by a graphic design series entitled “If Disney Princesses Were Real” by Jirka Vaatainen. The artist used photos of real women and merged them with cartoons to create digital paintings using Photoshop. We all thought this was an interesting concept and did our best to recreate the reference photos at hand.
My look is based on Megara from Disney’s Hercules. My reference photo was not as close up as I would have liked so it was difficult to tell which colors were used. I decided to combine the color palette from the photo with the traditional lavender makeup and winged liner Megara sports in the Disney television show. Upon further inspection, the make up colors included in this photo clashed so I tried my best to bring some authenticity to the look.
